D1NZ Media Accreditation

How to Join the Action

So, you want to be part of the media crew covering the adrenaline-fueled world of D1NZ? Awesome! First you need to get accreditation, and this comes in two forms:

MotorSport New Zealand (MSNZ) accredited media.
- You’ve applied via https://motorsport.org.nz/media/accreditation/ and been approved.
- You then sign-on for each event (indemnity form) and you’re set.

Round-by-round or non-MSNZ accredited media.
You don’t have the ‘blue vest’ but would like to attend anyway. Here’s the lowdown on what what’s required to get right into the action:

  • Promote the Sport: Your job is to hype up D1NZ and New Zealand motorsport – whether it’s writing epic articles, snapping jaw-dropping photos, or filming killer videos. If you’re all about sharing the drift vibes, you’re in the right place.

  • No Spectators Here: This pass is for people who are there to work. You’ve got to be actively creating content at the event, not just hanging out.

  • Legit Outlets Only: You need to be connected to a proper media platform – a website, magazine, YouTube channel, social media page, or anything that gets your content out to the world.

  • Amateur Photographers Welcome: Don’t sweat it if you’re not a pro! If your pics or vids get published anywhere legit, you’re good to go.

  • Play by the Rules: You’ll need to stick to the guidelines from MotorSport New Zealand. We’re part of the same team.

  • Show Off Your Work: Got motorsport content you’ve made before? Sweet – send it in with your application. No past work? Just tell us your game plan for covering D1NZ and how you’ll get content published to a mass audience.

  • Safety First, Always: Follow official instructions, and don’t do anything dumb. We want you safe while you’re out there.

  • Be Chill and Professional: Respect the drivers, event crew, and your fellow media peeps. We’re all here to make D1NZ look amazing, so don’t be that person.

  • Don’t Miss the Deadline: Get your application in on time with all the info we need – your media outlet, some examples of your work, and how to contact you.

There will be a safety briefing at each round held that media are required to attend. This is compulsory on each day the event is held.
