DAYNOM "SLIM" TEMPLEMAN LOCKED & LOADED

Daynom is an Auckland based driver who has been competing in D1 since quite early in the sport.

A custom-pool-builder during the week, he has been a long-standing competitor in many types of motorsport over the years.  

Career highlights include winning the Woodhill100 twice as a teen, competing in off-roading in Australia, being voted Formula3 rookie of the year and being invited to travel the world to race in the class.

A driver through and through, during the D1 off-season he is continually pushing himself in the hot-seat, keeping himself busy off-roading in a cam-am.

Daynom’s favourite D1NZ moment was grabbing the top qualifying spot and following it up with the win of an iconic Mount Smart Stadium round.

For many years he competed in RX7s but made a switch to a 2JZ powered BMW in recent seasons, and now that he has sorted out the gremlins he is sure to be more competitive this season.

Although he has a number of accomplishments under his belt, Daynom still believes in the saying “If you still go to work, you’re not a professional driver”
