D1NZ Driver Training

D1NZ offers Drifting experience from start to finish, The team here not only runs the National Championship but spend a lot of there weekends dedicated to teaching people the basic's to get into drifting.

Below are some details on D2NZ driver training days and DTNZ - if you have any areas within NZ in which you think D2NZ could hold professionally run events that are complied with MSNZ please let us know.

D2NZ – DRIVER TRAINING DAYS –Some useful information

 

Your vehicle must be up to LTSA Warrant of Fitness and Low Volume Certificate standards,

(a Warrant of Fitness or Low Volume Certificate is not required but vehicles will be scrutineered against these standards).

Your vehicle must also be up to MSNZ Schedule A standards, i.e. any vehicles equipped with roll cages must have full fixed position race seats and harnesses. Un-registerable imported vehicles are welcome but will also be scrutineered to the above mentioned standards.

You do NOT need a roll cage to enter this event.

 

 

We will check the basic safety items on your vehicle such as:
 

• No loose items in engine bay.

• No oil / water leaks.

• Working seatbelts.

• Working brake lights.

• Battery securely mounted.

• Exhaust system fitted.

• A MSNZ approved helmet of at least an “E” Standard.

• A pair of overalls – clean protective one-piece, with close-fitting front, cuffs and ankles and manufactured only in fire retardant of self extinguishing materials. (Note pure cotton is deemed to be self extinguishing) as per MSNZ minimum requirements.

• We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the fitment of a fire extinguisher.

 

We recommend you bring the following:


• At least 1 spare set of tyres.

• Your own Jack / Tools.

• At least half a tank of gas.

• Food & drink for the day.

 

You may bring into the event:

1X persons as your pit crew.

The vehicle you will compete in.

1X vehicles in addition to your entered vehicle to be used for towing and equipment transport.

 

D2NZ days are private days – designed for learners to advance there skills or just have safe controlled enviromentto hone there skillsin

 

A typical day schedule for D2NZ is as follows:

 

7:00 am Gates open / Scrutineering begins

8:30 am Drivers / Volunteer / Staff / Media Briefings

9:30 am On Track Tutor Sessions begin

11:30 am Lunch Break

12:00 pm On Track Tutoring Resumes

3:00 pm Open Track Practice

4:30 pm Finish and track clean up. 


D1NZ also has the DTNZ corporate driver training facility, this is great for things such as team building, Stag Nights and birthday parties – courses vary but allow participants to jump in one of three purpose built drift cars and learn how to drift with qualified professionals, they teachers go over the basics and of drifting advancing participant throughout the day to qualify them to try drifting on the bigger tracks, DTNZ caters lunch, accommodation plans and beverages – if this sounds like something your team or business could be interested in please view the information PDF below or email dtnz@d1nz.com
